Navigate Ophiolite Workspace

Workspace now has an organization dashboard and separate project pages. Start at Organizations, select your organization and project, then use Overview, Data, Developer, Connections, Activity and Settings. Connect is the setup entry point for uploads, source connections, Python and application access. Search and grid/list controls help find a project. Deep links and browser Back preserve context; an asset link identifies its exact revision.
Organization owners may create projects, associate an existing project they administer, and add/remove already provisioned accounts. Organization membership alone does not grant scientific data access. Use project Access for explicit project permissions. Removing an organization membership does not revoke separate project grants; those projects can remain visible under Shared projects.
Work with a surface
Section titled “Work with a surface”Use Connect → Upload a file → Other supported file imports for GeoTIFF, then inspect the result under Data. The numerical asset remains distinct from its server-rendered preview. Inspect metadata and exact history, download a portable export, or open lightweight View. The supported scalar-offset operation publishes a new revision; a following consumer can receive that update while a pinned consumer stays on its revision. Scenes record pinned references, not merged geometries.
Navigation does not infer or convert units, nulls, CRS or vertical datum. Existing coordinate rules still apply. A known horizontal CRS does not by itself establish the vertical meaning of an elevation surface.
Recover
Section titled “Recover”- If project creation succeeds but association fails, find the existing project under Shared projects and retry association. Do not reimport the data.
- If an organization is unavailable, check membership with its owner. A separate project grant can still allow access through Shared projects.
- Browser sessions renew automatically during active use. The default limits are two hours idle and eight hours total; the provider may impose stricter limits. Sign in again at those limits or after revocation. Existing short sessions need one fresh sign-in after upgrading. Transient renewal failures are retryable.
- Use Use a different account on the sign-in screen to switch a remembered provider identity. Normal sign-in may reuse provider SSO.
- Python application login is separate from browser login. Use the Ophiolite CLI for the local calculation workflow.
- If a following view changes, inspect the displayed exact revision before comparing values. Pin a revision for a reproducible comparison.
Internal qualification covers Connect navigation, real private-provider session renewal, explicit sign-out and a Mac CLI scientific handoff. This remains a private pilot, not production SSO certification or an external-user validation result. See availability and the control API.
