Contracts and DTOs are app-facing boundary shapes.

They matter for integrations, but they are not the primary mental model for newcomers. The canonical domain model lives deeper than any one transport shape.

Use DTOs when you need stable app boundaries. Use core concepts when you are learning the platform.
